Bizhao Cliff is located within the Huashan Scenic Area, on the southern section of Yuquan Road in Huayin City, Weinan City, Shaanxi Province. Northwest of Nantianmen, the southern peak of Huashan, two rocks face each other, forming a trough in between. The eastern rock slopes forward and overhangs, its walls dotted with stone nests resembling honeycombs. A rectangular cave, approximately 3 square meters, has been carved into the rock's belly. Bizhao Cliff had no name before the Song Dynasty. Historical records indicate it was a place where ancient hermits hid precious texts. A single wooden bridge connects the entrance to the western rock, which, when removed, prevents entry. The three characters "Bizhao Cliff" are inscribed on the cave's plaque, and are said to have been written by Chen Tuan in response to a request from Emperor Taizong of Song.
Huayin has a pleasant climate with distinct four seasons and an average annual temperature of 13.7 degrees.
The east and west rocks face each other, forming a groove in the middle. The east rock leans forward and hangs in the air like a cover, and the rock wall is covered with stone nests resembling honeycombs. A rectangular stone cave is carved in the middle of the rock, with an area of about 3 square meters.
The entrance of the cave is connected to the west rock by a single wooden bridge. If the single wooden bridge is removed, it is impossible to enter the cave. The three characters "Bi Zhao Ya" are engraved on the top of the cave, which are said to be written by Chen Tuan.
It is recommended to play for about 20 minutes.

The top of Bizhao Cliff offers the best panoramic views, where you can capture the surrounding mountains and the inscriptions on the cliffside. The path leading up to the cliff also provides some excellent photo opportunities with its natural landscapes.

Night visits are not typically offered at Bizhao Cliff, as the attraction is primarily a daytime destination. However, special tours or events may be available during specific festivals or cultural activities.

After visiting Bizhao Cliff, you can take a taxi or local bus to continue your trip. For those visiting Mount Huashan, it’s best to take a taxi or bus to the mountain base for easier access to the cable cars and trails.
