Ving Trang Temple ~ "If you leave the delusion behind, you will be like Buddha; it is easy to understand the mind but difficult to calm it, and if you calm the mind, you will be at ease everywhere"

Vietnam is a country that many tourists often visit. Geography textbooks in the past often mentioned the Mekong River. "Ving Trang Temple" is located at the relay point between Ho Chi Minh City and the Mekong River. It is relatively remote, so there are fewer tourists, but it is still a good tourist attraction!

📕Historical context:
The history of Vinh Thang Pagoda is not long. It was built in the early 19th century in My Tho City, Saigon. When the Vietnam War broke out, the French army invaded the Mekong Delta, causing Vinh Thang Pagoda to be devastated by war. Later, it was attacked by storms⛈️. The repair process can be said to be full of twists and turns! !

🏘️Architectural features:
The most famous building of Vinh Trang Pagoda is the "Three Gates". The famous "Hue Imperial City" craftsmen and the "Three Gates" of Vinh Trang Pagoda were built by the same group of workers👷! ! The overall style of the temple incorporates many elements, among which the most important is the Indian-style architecture, which combines the architectural features of the East and the West. Don't forget to appreciate these ingenious buildings while worshipping~~

🎒Little knowledge:
What is the "three gates"?
It is a Buddhist term and also an architectural feature. Generally, there are three doors in the archway-style buildings, namely the "Gate of Emptiness", the "Gate of No Form" and the "Gate of No Action". After passing through these three doors, you enter the "Gate of Wisdom" of the Nirvana stage, also known as the "Three Gates of Liberation"!
I often hear people say "entering the Buddhist monastery", which means they are about to take the first step into Buddhism, representing that this person has just converted not long ago! !

🪷 Worshipped gods:
~ Tathagata Buddha~
This is the Sakyamuni we are familiar with. Even if you are not a Buddhist, you must have heard of this name, so I will not elaborate on it!

~Amitabha~
Many people equate Amitabha with Tathagata Buddha, but this is not the case! ! : : : : : : : : : : : : : : :
