#Ho Chi Minh travel #Mekong River #Day tour
After arriving in Ho Chi Minh, I thought I shouldn't be too loose the next day! So I booked a Mekong tour that leaves in the morning.
We chose the Mekong Delta Day Tour (departing from Ho Chi Minh) as a small group!! and the price is about 75,000 won for 2 people. You can choose between a large or small group, but in conclusion, I definitely recommend the small group.
The large group is 15 or more people, and the small group is 10~15 people.
📍STEP1. Binh Trang Temple
The first place we visited was My Tho Binh Trang Temple. My Tho is said to be a representative port city of Vietnam, and there is a Binh Trang Temple, so we saw the Buddha, and we bought a traditional Vietnamese hat here and wore it well as a sunshade throughout the trip.
📍STEP2. Boarding a boat on the Tien River
We boarded a boat on the Tien River. Before boarding the boat, there was a cafe at the port, so we ordered black coffee with no sugar, and it tasted like Americano.
📍STEP3. Unicorn Island Tour
We went to Unicorn Island, walked along the country road, and looked around the tropical orchard. It was very hot, so I recommend preparing a hat or parasol. There was a time to eat tropical fruits and listen to local people singing and playing instruments, and there was a time to taste honey tea made by bees raised on Unicorn Island.
📍STEP4. Toy Son Canal
We also rowed a boat on Toy Son Canal, which was a very enjoyable experience. The canal was pretty and the trees were lush, so it felt like we were in a scene from a movie!
And as soon as we arrived at Tan Tak Village, we had lunch at a local restaurant. We ate grilled elephant fish, and there was sticky rice, chicken soup, hollow vegetables, shrimp, and even braised pork ribs(?), so they were familiar to Koreans' taste buds, so it wasn't completely delicious! It was okay as a local food experience.
📍STEP5. Sightseeing in Tan Tak Village
After eating at a restaurant and spending some time in the village, we rode our bikes around the village, rode on swings here and there, and watched the animals, spending about an hour leisurely.
On the way back, they gave us coconut juice on the boat, so we drank it deliciously and came back~! On the way back, they dropped us off right in front of the hotel in the van we came in. It was a full tour from 7am to 5pm! I recommend it as a Ho Chi Minh travel course🫶
