[Nagano] Zenkoji Temple: A power spot where it's said you can attain paradise if you visit just once in your lifetime!

We visited Zenkoji Temple in Nagano, a designated national treasure. ✨️ This temple is famous for the saying, "Be pulled by a cow to visit Zenkoji Temple." 😌 Zenkoji Temple was founded in 644 and was established before the creation of any Buddhist sects, making it a very unusual non-sectarian temple. 👀 Five pigeons and a cow are hidden in the characters for Zenkoji (see the fourth photo) on the gate, an Important Cultural Property. 🐮 Be sure to try and find them! 😉✨ Photography is prohibited inside the main hall, a national treasure, so I don't have any photos, but this historic temple is definitely worth a visit. 🫶 While the cherry blossoms usually bloom in mid-April, they bloomed early this year, and when I visited (April 1st), the cherry blossoms were in full bloom. 🌸 Recommended Points -----------------------------✅ Nakamise Street is packed with shops, so you can enjoy a stroll and eat! ✅ The popular "Victory Charm" amulets, known for being carried by WBC players, are also popular! Items are often out of stock.✅ This historic temple, designated a National Treasure and Important Cultural Property, is a must-see for history buffs!
