Nagano Attractions | Togakushi Shrine (Oku-shrine) ~ The cedar forest in the snow is so beautiful!

One of the most anticipated attractions on a self-driving tour of Nagano
Togakushi Shrine.

The giant cedar forest in Togakushi is so beautiful in the winter.
It's a pity that we didn't see the beautiful scenery of snow on the day of our visit.
But just strolling in the snow is romantic enough.

Start from the Togakushi Shrine Okusha parking lot.
It only takes about 30 minutes to reach Suishenmen
The route is flat and not too difficult to walk, and there is a toilet at the entrance.
(If you are with an elder, it is recommended to wear crampons for safety)

Although there are public buses from Nagano Station to Togakushi Shrine,
But the bus service is very rare.
And in winter, parking will only be done at Zhongshe.
It takes about an hour to walk from Zhongshe to Shanshulin/Sui Shenmen.
The road conditions are not good and it is easy to slip.

If you really want to go this route,
It is recommended to take the bus route from Zhongshe to Aoshe.

It is recommended to drive or charter a car to Togakushi Shrine in winter.
