Matsushiro Castle Park, Nagano

#cherryblossom25

Matsushiro Castle Park feels like stepping back into the Edo period — only with an explosion of cherry blossoms softening the samurai vibes. The stone walls, moats, and wooden gates are all beautifully preserved, and in spring they’re framed by over a thousand blooming sakura trees. I wandered through the park just as the petals started falling, and it felt like snow — gentle, pink, and magical. The best part? It wasn’t overrun by tourists, so I could take my time exploring and snapping photos. My #cherryblossom25 post was a wide-angle shot of the castle gate with petals floating in the moat, giving off serious historical romance vibes. If you love your cherry blossoms with a side of history and peace, Matsushiro is a gem.
