Located to the east of the main hall, this building features a hipped roof and measures 15.4 meters square in both width and depth.

The interior is stone-paved, with an octagonal rotating sutra repository at its center. It has been designated as an Important Cultural Property of Japan.

The rotating sutra repository can be spun by pushing it, allowing one to gain merit without actually reading the sutras.
