Spring Walk at Shōryūji-jō Castle Ruins

#aprilblooms

Even on a rainy day, Shōryūji-jō Castle Ruins in Nagaokakyo, Kyoto, is such a lovely spot for a stroll! The azaleas were in full bloom when I visited, painting the whole park with bright, vibrant colors. The raindrops on the flowers actually made everything feel even more magical and peaceful. It’s a perfect place for a slow walk and a bit of daydreaming.

This site isn’t just about flowers—there’s so much history hidden among the ruins too. It’s a chill, open space where you can enjoy both nature and a bit of Kyoto’s past without the crowds. If you’re around in spring, I highly recommend stopping by, rain or shine!

Why You Should Visit:

✔ Gorgeous azalea blooms creating colorful spring scenery.
✔ A peaceful and historical walking route, perfect even on rainy days.

📍Address: 13-1 Shoryuji, Nagaokakyo, Kyoto 617-0836, Japan
