Putting Nagasaki's identity into cooking. Shippoku Hamakatsu

#There is a unique food that you can only taste in Nagasaki. It is #Shippoku cuisine!! Since Nagasaki was one of the first cities to open as a port, Portuguese, Dutch, and Chinese cultures had to mix, and it is said to be a kind of banquet cuisine that was born at that time. It is basically Japanese cuisine with the styles of the three countries mentioned above added.

It is literally a banquet dish, so it is impossible to eat alone, but I heard that there is a place that serves it as a set for one person, so I made a reservation in advance and visited. It is #Shippoku Hamakatsu (#卓袱浜勝)!! After sitting in the reserved seat, I enjoyed the courses that came out one by one. It started with a soup called Ohire, and the main dish was a variety of Japanese stews and pickles that were compressed into a single bowl. Then came sashimi. Fried food came out in the middle to change the mood, and then a meal including rice came out, and a dish similar to Chinese Dongpo Pork came out with Japanese pickles as a side dish. Lastly, there was a Western dessert called jelly and a Japanese dessert called sweet red bean porridge~

It was nice to be able to feel the identity of the city of Nagasaki symbolically through this one meal. If you come to Nagasaki, it would be good to experience it at least once.
