There is a shrine in Nagoya that is popular for its gorgeous Japanese umbrellas and colorful goshuin stamps. Wakeoe Shrine is a shrine in Kita-ku, Nagoya. It is also listed in the Engishiki Shinmeicho, a book compiled during the Heian period. A female priest came up with various methods to attract people, hoping to make the younger generation feel closer to shrines, and the number of visitors has increased dramatically from a dozen or so a month to 1,000-2,000 now.
