It was built on the site of Linggu Temple between 1931 and 1935. It is located on the east side of the southern foot of Purple Mountain in the eastern suburbs of Nanjing, adjacent to the Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum to the west, and covers an area of ​​about 1 square kilometer. After the founding of the People's Republic of China, it was renamed "Linggu Park".

The Linggu Temple in the Linggu Scenic Area has a history that can be traced back to the period of Emperor Wu of Liang in the Southern Dynasties. The Beamless Hall is also amazing because the entire building uses a brick arch structure and has no wooden beams. All I can say is that the early architectural forms are admirable.
