Introduction to scenic spots: Linggu Scenic Area is now the Nanjing National Revolutionary Army Cemetery for Martyrs. It was a national cemetery during the Republic of China period. It was built on the site of Linggu Temple between 1931 and 1935. It is located on the east side of the southern foot of Purple Mountain in the eastern suburbs of Nanjing, adjacent to the Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum to the west, and covers an area of about 1 square kilometer. After the founding of the People's Republic of China, it was renamed "Linggu Park".
Opening hours: 8:30-17:00
Tickets: RMB 35, half-price RMB 17.5
Travel experience: I finally came to a place I had wanted to visit for a long time. The Linggu Temple in the Linggu Scenic Area has a history that can be traced back to the period of Emperor Wu of Liang in the Southern Dynasties. It was converted into a cemetery for the fallen soldiers of the National Revolution during the Republic of China period.
This place gives people a solemn and dignified feeling, and at the same time makes people feel a little emotional for these revolutionary victims.
The Beamless Hall is also amazing because the entire building uses a brick arch structure and has no wooden beams. All I can say is that the early architectural forms are admirable.
I recommend that if you have time, you can bring your adults and children to commemorate this person who sacrificed his life for the country, or you can come here to hike or take a walk.
