We went to Toyokuni Shrine, a 5-minute walk from Nakamura Koen Station in Nagoya!

The highlight is the huge red torii gate at the intersection.

The torii gate stands on the road, so you can have the mystical experience of driving through it.

This torii gate is going to be repainted soon

It may even turn gold soon!

(The local residents are vehemently opposed to this.)

It's a recommended spot that you should see at least once, whether before or after it's shiny gold. lol
