I've tried Okinawan soba at many places, but I discovered another new one in Naha City! 👀
Just past the shopping arcade in Makishi,
tucked away in an alley in the Tsuboya area is Miyako Soba Seimenjo SAIGA. ☝️
It's a very small shop, so it's best to visit alone or with just one other person, rather than with a group. 👍
This restaurant specializes in Miyako soba, but they're not just famous for soba.
The soup is additive-free and free of artificial flavorings. 😲
What's more, even the meat and juicy toppings are free of artificial flavorings.
You can really feel the passion they put into it. 👊
Since it was my first time, I ordered the Miyako soba (830 yen), as the name suggests.
I waited about five minutes, and when the food arrived, I was amazed. 🫢
This dish goes beyond Miyako soba; it looks almost like ramen.
The meat and kamaboko toppings are served on separate plates.
When I tried it, it was delicious! 😋
The soup was so refined and mellow that I wanted to drink it all to the last drop,
but the flavorful soup was rich, and the noodles had the chewy texture and flavor of fresh noodles.
It was a bowl of ramen that was perfect in both taste and balance. 💯
It's completely different from the original, classic Miyako soba,
but it definitely has that Miyako soba vibe.
If you're looking for a higher-class experience,
or are tired of the usual Okinawa soba,
then give it a try! 😉
