After your visit, you can walk five minutes to the nearby beach.

This time, I specifically walked up the bridge to take a photo with Naminoue Shrine. Tourists streamed in, and as the waves crashed, it sat shoulder to shoulder with time.

The monuments in the park are pebbles cast by history, settled at the bottom of the pool of time. An inscription related to Taiwan speaks of a distant dynasty and a forgotten massacre. That story is like a faded coat; we touch it, but no longer feel its warmth. The weight of history can sometimes be unsettlingly light.
