‘Pasan’ is located at the beginning of the Chao Phraya River, where the two-colored rivers, Ping-Wang and Yom-Nan, meet. The building is a large, slender structure that floats up like a bridge. The building is covered with steel and copper. The creation of Lod Pasan is very meaningful to the people of Nakhon Sawan because in addition to being a new beautiful landmark, the land was purchased with money donated by the people. Pasan was built through a collaboration between the Nakhon Sawan Municipality, local people, and a private architectural firm. They worked together to create a symbol to raise awareness of the importance of this area, which has created the country’s main river. It also stimulates the local economy by becoming a contemporary tourist attraction and a new public space for local people to use. The government budget for the construction was 117 million baht.
