Whisper of Love in Nan: Wat Phumin

One of the highlights for visitors to Nan Province is Wat Phumin, a famous temple in Nan province, with its beautiful murals. It's a great place to make merit and pray, and you'll also get some beautiful photos to take home. 🩷✨

Wat Phumin, a royal temple, is located in Nai Wiang Subdistrict, Mueang District, Nan Province. Its distinctive feature is its four-sided architecture, resembling the backs of two large Naga serpents. The building houses the ubosot (ordination hall), the viharn (wihan), and the principal chedi. At the center of the ubosot (ordination hall) are four large Buddha images facing the four doors, along with murals (hup taem). The most famous is the "Pu Man Ya Man" (Whisper of Love) mural by Nan Buaphan, a local Tai Lue artist. After visiting the temple, you can also take photos at the Nan National Museum, featuring the Frangipani Tunnel, another popular check-in spot in Nan Province.
