The Usnisa Palace 佛顶宫 - Modern Temple !💛

How many temples have you seen that were built decades or hundred years back?

Well, this one will definitely be a breathe of fresh air! They were just opened in 2015, with all the modern architecture and interior design. I was in awe the whole time! It was so colorful and bright, and I can’t help but wonder if this temple will also passed the test of time. Will it still be standing tall 100 years from now? Nonetheless, we can still enjoy its beauty in present time, in all its glory!

The Niushoushan 牛首山 Cultural Park is a really big area! The temple visit can take up to 2hrs (unless they open the whole floors -total 6 floors down underground. At the time of visit we were only allowed to visit 3 levels), and around the park may take another 2 hrs. You can plan a picnic there. There’s also a pagoda in front of the temple that you can visit. Climb up and enjoy the view of the whole park from the top!

Getting There - take bullet train or flight to Nanjing , take taxi around 40mins from downtown.
Attractions - Buddhist Temple; opening hours 9:30-17:30, 98¥ entry.
Hotels - any hotels in Nanjing
Food & Restaurants - big vegetarian restaurants inside the temple / several street food vendors.
Shopping - souvenir store
Vegan-friendliness - DEFINITELY 🌱
