A Hidden Poetic and Picturesque Secret in Southern Anhui

Shuilongshan Waterfall is located north of Runtan Village in Hewan Town, situated at the junction of Tongling and Nanling. It features a perennial flowing stream, making it a rare natural landscape. The waterfall cascades down a cliff dozens of meters high, splashing countless water droplets and producing a deafening roar, with a momentum like a stampede of thousands of horses or a mountain collapse and tsunami. Upstream of the waterfall, Shuilongshan Mountain boasts excellent ecology, covered entirely with lush green vegetation, resembling a fairyland. Moreover, Shuilongshan Waterfall is still little known, preserving its original natural state. The hotel chosen for this trip exceeded all expectations and deserves high praise! From the moment of check-in at the front desk, the staff’s enthusiasm and professionalism were evident. They patiently answered all my questions and thoughtfully offered a bottle of water on a hot day, with such attention to detail making one feel truly warm. The room was exquisitely arranged, with a modern minimalist decor style paired with soft lighting, instantly relieving travel fatigue. The bed was moderately firm, with clean and soft bedding, allowing for a restful sleep until morning; the bathroom featured a dry and wet separation, with two disinfectant wipes beside the toilet, and the toiletries were very practical. The room’s soundproofing was excellent, completely blocking out noise from the corridor and neighboring rooms. The hotel gym was well-equipped and provided free towels and mineral water. Breakfast offered a rich variety, including Chinese and Western dishes, handmade freshly wrapped wontons, fresh fruit, a cup of red bean fermented rice wine, freshly ground coffee, and the local specialty Xiaodao noodles, all leaving a lasting impression. Highly recommended to every traveler visiting here!
