For dinner, since the hotel didn't include dinner, we wandered around Sun Moon Lake. There are many home-style restaurants next door, so we chose Old Style Wild Game Restaurant for dinner. We chatted with the owner, and one of their dishes is unique to Nantou, thanks to ingredients obtained through a friend of the owner's. The bamboo shoots have a delicate fragrance and sweetness, and they complement the dish beautifully. The owner of the State Banquet Fish restaurant recommends steaming it to maximize its freshness. The wild boar meat was fatty but not greasy, with a perfectly balanced texture that perfectly complemented the cooking technique. The cabbage was average, but overall, the service was attentive and friendly! The dishes were authentic, and it was a great dish for sharing!
