Treasures of Wisdom in Museums
Early in the morning, I took a bus from Taipei to Nantou and arrived at the magnificent Chung Tai World Museum. The museum is located next to the Chung Tai Chan Monastery and has a simple yet solemn architectural style. As soon as you step into the museum, you will be attracted by the numerous Buddhist art treasures. Whether it is the finely carved Buddha statues or the classic books that have been passed down for thousands of years, they are all full of tranquility and wisdom. I particularly admired a thangka depicting the story of Buddha, the details of which were breathtaking. In the afternoon, I followed the tour guide to learn the stories and cultural significance behind the collections. At dusk, strolling through the Zen courtyard outside the museum, the sun shining on the white stone slabs, I felt a sense of peace and contentment.
