Aowanda National Forest Recreation Area is not only a famous maple viewing spot, but the cherry blossoms in spring are also beautiful. The main species grown here are Kawazu cherry and mountain cherry. The cherry blossom season is from mid-February to early March. The pink cherry blossoms and the verdant forest trails complement each other, creating a peaceful and leisurely atmosphere.
Aowanda's trails are well-planned and suitable for walking and hiking for the whole family. Along the way, you can enjoy the spectacular valleys, suspension bridges and rich ecological environment. The recommended cherry blossom viewing routes are the Aowanda Suspension Bridge and the Forest Trail. Walking along them, you can see pink cherry blossoms and lush green forests intertwined with each other, as if you were walking into a painting.
The air here is particularly fresh, suitable for tourists who like nature and a quiet environment. In addition, the Aowanda Forest Recreation Area has a rich ecosystem, where rare birds such as the Taiwan Blue Magpie can occasionally be seen, making it very suitable for combining cherry blossom viewing with ecotourism.
