🌸 Day 1 | Cultural Immersion × Fun Amusement Park
Arriving at Sun Moon Lake in the morning, proceed to the cable car station and board the cable car, soaring across the lake and mountains directly to the Formosan Aboriginal Cultural Village. This amusement park blends Taiwanese aboriginal cultural displays with modern amusement park facilities, offering fun for both adults and children.
Entering the cultural area, you can enjoy song and dance performances from various ethnic groups, traditional architecture, and ritual displays. If you have time, you can also participate in DIY activities and make your own handicrafts. For lunch, we recommend enjoying aboriginal cuisine within the park, with popular dishes like bamboo rice and barbecue.
In the afternoon, head to the amusement facilities and garden area. The park boasts romantic and beautiful European-style gardens, and the carousel and aerial rides are a great way for children to let off steam. As the sun sets, take the cable car back to Sun Moon Lake and check into a lakeside hotel or B&B. For dinner, we recommend visiting the Ita Thao shopping district to try grilled wild boar, Thao mochi, and other local snacks, and soak up the relaxed atmosphere of the lakeside at night.
🚴 Day 2|Lake and Mountain Scenery × Leisurely Pace
Wake up early on day 2 to enjoy the tranquility of Sun Moon Lake's early morning. The morning mist and sunrise light on the lakeside create the most beautiful natural scenery. After breakfast, you can rent bicycles from the Xiangshan Visitor Center and ride the lakeside bike path, known as one of the "world's most beautiful bike paths." The scenery along the way is breathtaking.
Then, you can board a boat and visit Shuishe Pier, Yida Thao, and Xuanguang Temple. As you sail across the lake, you'll admire the beauty of Sun Moon Lake from different perspectives. For lunch, you can return to the Yida Thao Tribe to sample local Thao cuisine.
In the afternoon, we recommend visiting the Xiangshan Visitor Center. This understated building, designed by a renowned architect, blends seamlessly into the lake, making it a perfect spot for photos and views. If time permits, you can also stroll along the lakeside trail to deeply immerse yourself in the tranquility of nature. In the evening, pack up, concluding your wonderful two-day, one-night trip.

✅ Tips
• Visiting the Formosan Aboriginal Cultural Village during cherry blossom season (February-March) will allow you to admire a sea of pink blossoms blanketing the mountainside, creating a truly romantic experience.
• Sun Moon Lake boat and cable car services are limited, so it's recommended to check schedules in advance to avoid missing out.
• The temperature difference between morning and evening is significant near the lake, so it's recommended to bring a light jacket. In summer, sun protection and hydration are essential.
• Booking lakeside accommodations in advance is recommended, as the lake views at dusk and dawn are at their most captivating.
