Visit Temples in Taiwan: Stunning Views of Lakes and Mountains

Wenwu Temple is a significant temple located by the Sun Moon Lake. In front of the temple, there are intricately carved marble lion statues. From the higher levels of the temple, visitors can enjoy breathtaking views of the Sun Moon Lake and the surrounding mountains.

🚙 How to Get There:
Take the High-Speed Rail (THSR) to Taichung, then transfer to a bus heading to Sun Moon Lake. From there, take bus route 6669 to Wenwu Temple.
Alternatively, take the regular train (TRA) to Taichung, then transfer to bus route 6670 → 6669 to reach the temple.

This temple houses several deities, including:
• Guan Yu — the God of Loyalty and Devotion
• Confucius — the God of Wisdom and Knowledge
• Wen and Wu Deities — representing literature, wisdom, and martial strength

The temple is divided into three main halls:
1. Front Hall: Dedicated to the God of Literature and Knowledge
2. Middle Hall: Dedicated to Guan Yu (God of War) and other Wu deities
3. Rear Hall: Dedicated to Confucius and other sages of wisdom

When visiting temples in Taiwan, it is customary to enter through the Dragon Gate and exit through the Tiger Gate. Entering through the right gate and exiting through the left is believed to bring good fortune and ensure that prayers are fulfilled.
