Setouchi Triennale: Naoshima House Project and Naoshima New Art Museum

Highlights of Naoshima during the Setouchi Triennale
Located near Honmura Port are the famous House Project and the Naoshima New Art Museum.

The House Project features a series of art installations set within traditional residential houses. The most recommended is the "Naoshima Plan: Water," which incorporates flowing water and explores the history of water source excavation. The highlight is the incredibly cool water—you can even soak your feet in it! On a hot midday, soaking your feet here is truly refreshing.

The Naoshima New Art Museum, which opened in May 2025, includes an impressive exhibition hall filled with wolf-themed artworks. The architecture, primarily featuring exposed concrete, is aesthetically stunning.

Both the House Project and the Naoshima New Art Museum can be accessed using the Setouchi Triennale Passport, allowing you to enjoy them all in one go.
