🌸 Nara Park is a large public park covering an area of over 3,130 rai in the heart of the city, located near Todai Temple, a famous tourist attraction in Nara Prefecture. There are many deer living around the park.
🌸 The locals here believe that deer are servants of the gods, so they do not harm them. They also feed the deer. There are sembei shops scattered around. We can buy and feed the deer, but be careful because some deer are fierce and may bite your arm.
🌸 The time we went was the cherry blossom season, so we were able to take many pictures of the deer and the beautiful cherry blossoms. If anyone wants to come during the full bloom, we recommend coming from March to early April.
🌸 How to get to Nara Park You can walk from JR Nara Station or Kintetsu Nara Station to the park, or you can take a bus from the station, take bus number 1 or 5 and get off at Todaiji Daibutsuden bus stop to walk to Nara Park.
