Introducing Yongyang Town

Yongyang Town is located in the central area between Hefei and Chaohu. Huainan Railway, Hema Highway and Binhu Avenue pass through the town. It is close to Chaohu Lake and is named after the two rivers running through the town, Yong River and Yang River.

The existing Old Street in Yanyang Town stretches over 200 meters from north to south and nearly 150 meters from east to west. It houses over a thousand ancient dwellings and shops, retaining their ancient charm and charm. Among the preserved ancient buildings, four are of particular historical and cultural significance for research and preservation.

There are four streets and six alleys in the town, namely the north-south main street, East Street, Qiaodong Street, Nantou Street, and Chajia Lane, Lijia Lane, Liujia Lane, Jinjia Lane, Bajia Lane, Luojia Lane, Xujia Lane, etc. The streets are all paved with bluestone slabs. On the wall of the east gate of Yanyang Old Street, there is a county government notice from the seventh year of Tongzhi in the Qing Dynasty, namely the " Zhengtang Chenshi " , which is engraved with notices on maintaining social order, such as banning gambling, banning smoking, banning slaughtering oxen, and banning singing obscene Lu opera.

Bunker Group

During the Anti-Japanese War, the Japanese occupied the town of Yanyang, and they built a cluster of bunkers in the north of the town.
