📍Todai-ji (東大寺) Review

This was the most memorable place during my Nara trip. ⛩️ Located inside Nara Park, the walk along the path was incredibly peaceful. Deer roamed freely, and many people offered them snacks along the way. 🦌 It was so cute to see them approach and bow their heads in greeting.

Standing in front of the main hall, you'll be struck by its overwhelming scale. The massive wooden pillars, the magnificent roof, and the Great Buddha inside are truly magnificent. 🙏 The interior exudes a quiet and calming atmosphere, naturally bringing a sense of peace and tranquility. The building itself, while immaculately maintained, exudes the weight of its age.

Admission was 600 yen for adults, and everything from the ticket booth to the information desk was spotless. While there were a lot of people, the spacious grounds kept things uncluttered. There were also souvenir shops and cafes around the grounds, making it a great place to explore. ☕️ This is a must-see if you visit Nara—a place that "can't be captured in a photo."

📍 Address: 406-1 Zoshicho, Nara, 630-8211, Japan
🕒 Hours: 8:00–17:00 (varies by season)
🎫 Admission: Adults 600 yen / Children 300 yen
