Nasu Ropeway in Tochigi is at its best in May!

I climbed Mount Nasu using the Nasu Ropeway located in Nasu, Tochigi Prefecture. From the observation deck at the summit station, you can enjoy a panoramic view of the beautiful fresh greenery of the Nasu Highlands. Looking at the mountain, I saw the rugged and powerful rocky surface of Mount Nasu.

May is slightly cool, making it possible to enjoy the scenery without sweating while walking. Some clusters of azaleas were in bloom, creating a pink hue on the mountain surface.

Mount Nasu is a collective name for three mountains, and hikers can aim for the summit from various routes. About half of the people on the ropeway were carrying hiking backpacks.

While Nasu is famous as a summer resort, it also has its charm in other seasons. Visit during different times of the year to fully enjoy the beauty of Nasu.
