Taiwan's Must-Visit Attraction | Yehliu Geopark - Discover the True Face of the Queen's Head

Yehliu Geopark, located in Wanli District, New Taipei City, is a popular tourist destination. Admission requires a ticket, priced at NT$120 for adults.

๐Ÿ…ฟ๏ธ The park has a parking lot, making transportation convenient.

๐Ÿ“ It is recommended to use the restroom before purchasing tickets and entering the park. The women's restroom is on the first floor, while the men's restroom is on the second floor. Additionally, prepare drinking water in advance; you can fill your bottle at the visitor center, as the only small shop inside the park is located deep within the area.

๐Ÿ—“๏ธ Itinerary:
The coastal terrain here is unique, with the Queen's Head being the most famous feature. To access the Queen's Head area, visitors must follow a one-way path, and taking photos requires waiting in line for about 30 minutes. Besides the Queen's Head, there are other fascinating formations like Queen's Head II and the Princess Head, which closely resemble the Queen's Head. Many oddly shaped rocks and trace fossils are worth observing closely.

The park is divided into three main areas, and a full loop will bring you back to the exit:

Area 1: Features mushroom rocks, candle rocks, and other peculiar formations.
Area 2: Includes the Queen's Head, Dragon Head Rock, Diamond Rock, Fairy Shoe, and Peanut Rock.
Area 3: A marine erosion platform with unique formations like the Filial Piety Rocks and Pearl Rocks, serving as an important ecological conservation zone.

๐Ÿ“ During hot weather, it is advisable to wear sunglasses, apply sunscreen, and wear a light jacket or a hat with a strap for sun protection. Using umbrellas is not recommended due to strong winds. In winter, bring a wool hat and a heavy coat for warmth, or opt for a lightweight raincoat for convenience.

This park is ideal for families with children to learn about geological landscapes and ecology. The pathways are well-planned, and patrol staff are available to ensure safety.

Inside the park, there are two indoor markets primarily selling dried seafood products (such as shredded squid, fish floss, dried scallops, etc.) at reasonable prices, without overcharging tourists.

So, when visiting Yehliu, don't forget to explore these unique landscapes and rock formations, and consider purchasing some dried seafood products!
