The art gallery connects the square and the church, and the walls of the houses on both sides bear traces of demolished eaves. After searching online, I found out that the hall was originally a private house. Later, the town government planned it as an art landscape passage from Mackay Street to Zhongzheng Road, named "Art Hall". This is also the location of the "Chen Cheng-bo Outdoor Art Museum". On both sides of the hallway are Mr. Chen Cheng-bo's works and introductions. We are actually not unfamiliar with this painter and have often seen his works exhibited in the south. Although the space of the art gallery is not large and the works on display are outdoors, it does not affect the viewing pleasure. If you have time to come here, you might as well slow down and appreciate the 12 Tamsui landscape paintings created by Mr. Chen Chengbo, the first generation of Western painters in Taiwan, and lead everyone to explore the historical customs of ancient Tamsui.
