However, you have to transfer from Taipei Station to the Pingxi Line at Ruifang Station, and this Pingxi Line has few trains, about once an hour, so if you can act smartly and keep to the time, you can have a cheap and wonderful trip on a train full of local feeling 😄

If you want to go to Shifen, you go to Ruifang Station, so select North Taiwan → Keelung Area → Next Page in the upper right → Ruifang

If you are taking a train other than Tziqiang (all seats reserved train), you do not need to purchase in advance if you have a Yuyu Card, so go to the ticket gate You can get on the train by waving your card.

After returning to Ruifang Station (9), the train times to Taipei are

【219】 14:13→14:51 (38 minutes) or

【4177】 14:43→15:30 (47 minutes)

Neither of them are self-reliant.

I recommend returning to Ruifang Station and then taking a bus to Jiufen, so I'll write about that next time.
