It was originally named "Greater Taipei Metropolitan Park", but some people mistakenly thought it was located in Taipei City. Therefore, the New Taipei City Government renamed it "New Taipei Metropolitan Park" on August 18, 2019. The English translation has been changed to New Taipei, but the original name will be maintained.
