Recommended travel period - New York is most pleasant in spring (March-May) and fall (September-November). In spring, Central Park's cherry blossoms and clear weather are attractive, and in fall, the autumn foliage and cool air are attractive. Winter (December-February) is special with Christmas and New Year's events, but it is cold and snowy.
