A Lakeside Secret and a City That Never Sleeps: 3 Days, 2 Nights at Mohonk Resort and Downtown New York

I visited New York in July, but while I'd usually stayed downtown, this time I made a special trip to a suburban hotel. It was truly the most amazing New York trip I've ever had. ๐Ÿคฉ

๐Ÿ—“ Day 1: Escape the City and Enter a Lakeside Hideaway

About a two-hour drive from downtown New York City, we arrived at the legendary Mohonk Mountain House. Built in 1869, this lakeside resort, reminiscent of a European castle, is surrounded by forests and mountains. Stepping inside is like stepping into a fairytale. In the afternoon, stroll along the lakeside, soaking in the reflections of the mountains and lake. In the evening, enjoy a glass of wine by the fireplace and slowly savor the quiet time.

Back in our rooms, we found vintage-style design, many with balconies or lake views. Some suites even have their own fireplaces, adding to the romantic atmosphere.

๐Ÿ—“ Day 2: Embrace Nature and Complete Relaxation

This day is dedicated to the resort, which offers numerous free activities that you can participate in by registering in advance. I planned a morning hike, about an hour and 30 minutes long, enjoying the fresh air and magnificent natural scenery. In the afternoon, I went to the gym, played tennis, and watched the sunset from the Sky Top Tower. After dinner, I strolled along the lake with friends, listening to the chirping of insects and birds. I felt the tranquility and beauty of life.

๐Ÿ—“ Day 3: Return to the City That Never Sleeps and Feel the Energy

After two days of natural healing, I returned to downtown New York City. I strolled through Central Park, experiencing the charm of this "urban oasis." Along Fifth Avenue and Times Square, I felt the vibrant lights and energy of New York City once again.

This trip was primarily for the resort, with New York City being just a final stop before leaving. Of all the resorts I've visited, Mohonk Resort truly deserves a once-in-a-lifetime experience!
