New Zealand 3-day trip was short but every moment was special.
On the first day, as soon as I arrived in Queenstown, Lake Wakatipu unfolded before my eyes. The scenery created by the lake and the Southern Alps was breathtaking at first glance. Strolling along the lakeside, breathing in the fresh air, and taking the Skyline Gondola to view the city and lake from above were truly unforgettable experiences. After a light adventure with the luge ride, I ended the day with a lamb steak and rosé wine at a lakeside restaurant.
On the second day, I traveled to Mount Cook. Along the way, I encountered Lake Pukaki, whose emerald waves were so stunning that I couldn't help but marvel. Walking the Hooker Valley Track, crossing suspension bridges, and witnessing the eternal snow and glacial lake unfold before me were moments of awe that could only be experienced in New Zealand.
On the final day, I spent time in Tekapo. The Church of the Good Shepherd, set against the backdrop of the lake and snow-capped mountains, was small but peaceful and serene. As the sun set and night fell, the sky was filled with countless stars, allowing me to truly appreciate the value of one of the world's three major dark sky reserves.
Although it was a short 3-day trip, it was a perfect journey that encompassed nature, adventure, and relaxation.
