The Breakers in Newport is the ultimate Gilded Age mansion. Built by the Vanderbilt family, it’s like walking into a European palace on the Rhode Island coast. Every room is dripping with luxury — marble walls, gilded ceilings, and ornate furniture. The ocean views from the back lawn were stunning, and walking along Newport’s Cliff Walk gave me even more appreciation of the mansion’s grandeur. What struck me most was how massive and detailed it was, yet still connected to the beauty of the sea. The Breakers is a dazzling highlight of my #mytraveldiary.
