A Buddha statue similar to Fukuoka's Nanzoin

I visited Long Son Pagoda, which features an impressive giant Buddha statue reminiscent of the one at Fukuoka's Nanzoin. Located just about a 10-minute drive from the center of Nha Trang, it was easily accessible. From the entrance, the wide staircase and the gentle flow of Buddhist music created a calming atmosphere.

Inside the temple, rows of golden Buddha statues lined up, and behind them stood a large reclining Buddha. Although slightly smaller than the statue at Nanzoin, the surrounding palm trees and blue sky created a unique ambiance. Perhaps it was the tropical charm of Vietnam that added a sense of serene relaxation to the reverence.

Locals were lighting incense and making wishes, while travelers quietly explored and took photos. Admission was free, but many purchased incense to pray.

Sitting on the steps for a while, feeling the breeze and gazing at the Buddha statue, I felt a sense of 'comfort' rather than the 'overwhelming awe' I experienced at Nanzoin. It was a modest yet heartfelt temple.
