Japan's oldest classic resort hotel.
It's about a 15-minute walk from Nikko Toshogu Shrine across Shinkyo Bridge.
Up the hill, you'll find
a pure white, classic building...and even a London taxi waiting.
The sculptures at the entrance and revolving doors exude a sense of prestige. This is a place where famous artists like Lindbergh, Helen Keller, and Einstein once lived.
Enter through the magnificent revolving door with carvings...
A classic reception desk
A slightly low ceiling and a red carpet.
While the interior is Western-style, the ceiling features intricate details reminiscent of shrines.
This hotel has ties to Toshogu Shrine, and one of the carpenters who worked on Toshogu Shrine was in charge of the hotel's interior.
It's a wonderful hotel.
