Lugu Lake, the Land of Daughters Hidden in the Mountains

After traveling to so many places, #Lugu Lake is still the most beautiful scenery I have ever seen✨
Lugu Lake is the clearest plateau lake I have ever seen. It is home to the Mosuo people, the last ethnic group that still retains a matriarchal culture. Therefore, Lugu Lake is also known as the Kingdom of Daughters.
For transportation, we chose to take a flight from Kunming to Lugu Lake Airport, which took about 1 hour, and then take the airport bus for nearly 1 hour to reach Lugu Lake Scenic Area. It should be noted that there is only one flight from Kunming to Lugu Lake on Mondays and Wednesdays, and because Lugu Lake Airport is located on a plateau, flights are very likely to be cancelled due to weather reasons, disrupting your trip. We encountered heavy snow at Lugu Lake Airport this time❄️, but fortunately the flight was only delayed and not cancelled.
When you arrive at the entrance of the scenic spot by bus, the staff will remind all passengers to get off the bus and buy tickets for 70/person.
To visit Lugu Lake, we chose to charter a car to travel around the lake, which costs 250/day. The chartered driver will lead you around the lake and visit all the attractions of Lugu Lake.
The water of Lugu Lake is as clear as a mirror. Seagulls from Siberia fly freely on the lake. You can bring some biscuits to feed the seagulls, which is very interesting.
