A weekend of wine and desert in Ningxia

Take a sleeper train to the little-travelled city of Yinchuan in Ningxia and explore China’s main wine region, where you can actually find drinkable wine! (Our goal of the trip).
The main wineries are Xige and Silver Heights, which also have accommodation.
Ningxia also has ancient ruins to explore (Western Xia Tombs and Helanshan) as well as the Tengger Desert where you can sleep in glamping yurts. Bring the wine you purchase at the wineries and make it a party!
