[Hokkaido, Noboribetsu] Noboribetsu Onsen and Jigokudani

📍Noboribetsu Onsen
Hokkaido's most famous hot spring♨️
This time, we took a local bus from JR Noboribetsu Station (takes about 30 minutes). There are also direct buses from Sapporo.

There are souvenir shops and restaurants lined up along the main street, but it is small, so if you only want to visit the hot spring town, you will need about an hour◎

At Izumima Park, just past the main street, if you are lucky, you can see the geysers without going to Jigokudani.

Many hot springs are open for day trips, so you can do sightseeing without staying overnight♨︎

📍Dosanko Pudding
As the name suggests, this is a pudding shop that uses delicious milk and eggs from Hokkaido🍮

But what's even more recommended is the soup curry!

You can choose the main ingredient, and in addition to locally produced pork, there are also lamb, venison, seafood, zangi, and other Hokkaido-style dishes.

It is characterized by the large amount of vegetables, and my companion, who is from Hokkaido and is used to eating soup curry, praised it highly!

📍Noboribetsu Jigokudani
A crater formed by volcanic activity, located on the outskirts of the hot spring town.
The vents and fumaroles are still active, and the scenery of smoke rising from everywhere is surprising.

It is well maintained as a tourist spot, and there are walking paths so you can easily get to the geyser.
If you want to really explore, we recommend the 2-hour trekking course that takes you to the foot bath and back⛰️

📍Milky House
A coffee shop in a corner of a row of souvenir shops🍦
You can enjoy soft serve ice cream, coffee, and light meals.

As well as offering takeout, they also sell souvenirs such as pudding, making it the perfect place to stop by before heading back to the hotel.
