📍 Noboribetsu Jigokudani
A large explosion crater with a diameter of about 450m and an area of about 11ha, created by the eruption of Mt. Hiyori.
Volcanic gas erupts from the cracks in the reddish-brown rock surface and yellow-gray rock hills!!! The smell of sulfur permeates the area,
making it look exactly like the Valley of Hell⛰️
There are numerous springs and fumaroles along the valley,
and the bubbling, boiling scenery is said to be the origin of the name "Hell where demons live"😌
10,000 tons of various types of hot springs gush out from here every day,
supplying hot water to the hotels and inns in the hot spring town♨️
From the Noboribetsu Park Service Center near the parking lot,
there is a 600m walking trail around the whole of Jigokudani, which can be completed in about 20 minutes🚶♀️
I visited during the day, but at night,
parts of Jigokudani are lit up,
so you can see the fantastical explosion crater remains of Jigokudani, which are different from the daytime💛
Add excitement to your everyday life:🌙
