This Hokkaido trip was truly rewarding. Starting in Otaru, the canal scenery was incredibly romantic. The Otaru Aquarium was truly eye-opening, especially the interaction with the sea creatures, which left a lasting impression. Then, we headed to Sapporo, where the city's atmosphere was bustling yet comfortable. At night, we savored Genghis Khan lamb; the rich aroma paired perfectly with an ice-cold beer. The breathtaking scenery of Lake Toya was truly soothing. We even made a special trip to Showa Shinzan to experience the awe-inspiring volcanic landscape. The most surprising experience was taking a speedboat out to sea to feed the seagulls, who circled around us. It was an unforgettable experience. We stayed in a youth hostel, which was clean and comfortable, and I met many fellow travelers sharing their experiences. As for the food, the seafood donburi was incredibly fresh, and the ice cream was incredibly smooth and sweet. Finally, we visited a local supermarket, picking up souvenirs and snacks to bring home a taste of Hokkaido. This trip blended nature, culture, food, and everyday life—a relaxing and fulfilling experience. I highly recommend it to everyone who has the chance.
