There are many tour companies to choose from, but this time we joined the Night Sky + Sunrise Tour by Ariel Magic Tour! We were extremely satisfied with the experience, so we highly recommend it to anyone visiting the Uyuni Salt Flats. ⭐️

【Tour Details & Price】
3:30 AM - Meet at the hostel and depart
4:30 AM - 5:30 AM - Stargazing and photo time
6:15 AM - 7:00 AM - Sunrise viewing and photo time
💰 200 Bolivianos per person (approximately 4,300 yen)
* Includes boots, poncho, and data of photos taken with a high-quality camera (stargazing only)

【When We Participated】
We joined the tour on April 24 (the photos are from that time). It’s said that the best time to see the mirror effect is during the rainy season, which lasts until around the end of March. Initially, we were worried about visiting in late April. 💦
However, this year, we were still able to see the stunning mirror effect even during this period. 👀✨

【What to Wear】
The nights and early mornings at the Uyuni Salt Flats are known to be especially cold. 🥶
Here’s what we wore for the tour:
- 2 layers of Heattech Ultra Warm
- Long-sleeve shirt from UNIQLO
- Ultra Light Down jacket
- Windbreaker from MUJI
- Pants
- Heattech Ultra Warm leggings
- Long pants from UNIQLO
- 3 pairs of socks
- Gloves
Even with all this, our feet were so cold that we lost feeling in them, so we wished we had brought thicker socks. 😅🧦

【Impressions】
We were blessed with great weather, which is crucial for visiting the Uyuni Salt Flats, and it was absolutely perfect. 👏

Experiencing a 360-degree natural planetarium for the first time was surreal. Looking up at the sky and spinning around gave us a strange and wonderful feeling. ☺️

Our guide worked very hard and took many photos for us. 👏 (This tour company also lends ponchos for free if you ask. 🫶)

Thanks to the amazing weather, with clear skies and almost no wind, we were able to witness a breathtaking mirror effect. 😊

Among the sunrise, sunset, and starry sky, opinions often differ on which offers the best view. This time, the beauty of the sunrise completely outshone the others. ✨
