BENDERA HILLS, PENANG

I always visit the Penang Hill on every visit to this idyllic island of Penang.

You have to buy a ticket to ride the funicular train up and down the hill.

The climate at the top is cool and windy and the temp is about 23 deg C.

There are lots of flora and fauna at the summit. There are also lookout towers for you to view the coastline from the top of the hill.

There is a small cosy hotel and some nice coffee houses where you can sip your coffee while resting.

There are monkeys galore along the way and there are also houses of worship like a mosque and a Hindu temple. .

There is a police station and if you fancy buying a hat or a souvenir there are stalls selling such items.

If you come here on a weekend the queue for the ticket can be very very long.

This is a place to visit if you choose to tour Penang.
