Snow shoes hiking in Dachstein Krippenstein

Following a short bus ride from Hallstatt was a visit to Dachstein Krippenstein aka 5 fingers. Upon arrival at the foot of the mountain, I was told there was heavy snowfall hence snow shoes hiking was compulsory and I had to rent the gear in order to go up.

Took a cable car up and was mesmerized by the snow capped mountains. I was not too sure which direction to take to go to the 5 fingers but I just walked along. The wind was super strong, so ensure you are properly dressed.

All the hike was worth it when I saw Lake Hallstatt from the viewpoint. Highly recommend!
