🐾 Ogijima, an island where you can encounter cats and art

Ogijima, located in the Seto Inland Sea, is a tranquil island surrounded by slopes and stone walls.
Also known as "Cat Island," cats can be found wandering the harbor and alleyways. 🐈💕
Many of the cats are friendly, and just walking around the island will bring a smile to your face.

🎨 Artworks from the Setouchi Triennale are scattered throughout the island, and there's also a cafe and gallery housed in an old Japanese-style house.
You can even stroll around the island in a yukata or happi coat provided by locals, making for some truly photogenic fun. 👘✨

🚢Access: Approximately 40 minutes by Meojima Kaiun Ferry from Takamatsu Port (📍Sunport 8-1, Takamatsu City, Kagawa Prefecture).
One-way fare: ¥510 for adults and ¥260 for children. Tickets can be purchased at the port on the day. 🎫

The entire island can be walked in about 1-2 hours. Near the port, you'll also find the Ogijima Lighthouse and other observation spots.
