[Oita] A moving exhibition where you can fully enjoy the works of Yumeji Takehisa

[YUMEJI 140th Anniversary Exhibition]

The highlight of the exhibition is the newly discovered, mythical oil painting "Amaryllis." 💡
And what's more, previously unseen sketches and drawings from his later years will also be on display for the first time!

A diverse collection of approximately 180 works showcases the appeal of Yumeji as a poet and designer. ✨
Also featured are the "Strawberry" obi and envelope designs!
All 12 oil paintings are on display, and it's a highlight! ⭐️ I was blown away! 🥹

The exhibition explores the evolution of Yumeji's female imagery, from his early, dreamy portraits of beautiful women to the melancholic depictions of his later years. Also on display are sketches and documents from his time in the United States, giving us a glimpse of Yumeji's work from a global perspective. 🥰
