Okayama is synonymous with Momotaro! Kibitsu Shrine, said to be the origin of the legend, is a fascinating spot with a mystical atmosphere and deep history. Its most famous feature is its beautiful 360-meter-long corridor. Walking through the dappled sunlight filtering through the trees makes you feel as if you've been transported to another world. 🌿✨
When you actually visit, the air is clear and your heart feels lighter. At the back of the shrine is the Kamaden, where the "Narukama Shinji" ritual is held. You can even have your wish read by the sound of the kettle. 🔮
If you visit as a couple, you can expect blessings for finding love, and if you're traveling alone, you can find time to reflect quietly. I visited early in the morning, and there were hardly any people around. I was soothed by the space, filled only with the sounds of the birds and the wind. 🍃
