If you have limited vacation time but still want to travel abroad without feeling rushed, we recommend a four-day, three-night trip to Okayama and Kurashiki Bikan District, Japan, with a midday departure and evening return.

DAY 1: Fly directly from Taipei to Okayama, arriving in the evening. Check into a hotel in the city center, explore the area, and enjoy dinner. Be sure to indulge in Okayama's famous Muscat grapes!

DAY 2: Spend the day exploring Kurashiki Bikan District. Take the JR train directly from Okayama Station to Kurashiki. Follow the signs after exiting the station to reach the picturesque Kurashiki Bikan District, known for its charming bridges and flowing streams. Stroll along the riverside streets filled with traditional Japanese charm, local specialties, and artistic goods that are perfect for shopping and dining.

DAY 3: Visit Kibitsu Shrine for the day. The highlight is the 400-meter-long corridor, a must-see spot for capturing stunning photos.

DAY 4: Explore Okayama Korakuen Garden and Okayama Castle. After checking out of your hotel, take the tram to visit these attractions. Spend the afternoon shopping for last-minute souvenirs before heading to the airport to return to Taiwan.
